The structure of Taekwon-do
In this section the following topics will be discussed:

Base movements:
The fundamental movements are the basics of Taekwon-do moves. Practicing the combinations of punches, kicks and blocks while moving, makes a coordinated, harmonized flow of movement.

Patterns:
Patterns are fundamental movements (punches, kicks, blocks) against one or more persons combined in a series of moves. The patterns improve technical accuracy, harmony, synchronization, combination and concentration skills.

Step sparring:
After continuous practicing of basic movements and patterns - if they are executed well the apprentice is ready to practice with a partner. Step sparing is basically basic movement in pairs.

Breaking techniques:
The aim of breaking techniques is to achieve a concentration and state of mind, which allows the apprentice able to break (either as many or as difficult targets as possible) targets.

Self-defense:
Self-defense is the way to use Taekwon-do real life. To begin studying self-defense the apprentice must already have a serious knowledge base and many skills learned during trainings, so the teaching of self-defense begins only on advanced level.
